We are looking for an experienced change professional to join our Collaboration and Change team as a Change and Integration Specialist. This roleis pivotal to lifting change leadership capability across the National Library and Archives New Zealand, ensuring that all change initiatives - whether structural, behavioural, cultural, or workflow-focused - are embedded successfully and sustainably into our environment.As part of a team committed to cross-institutional collaboration, you will work closely with leadership teams and project groups to build change management into strategic initiatives, and help build a strong approach to integration between functional teams. You'll coach, guide, and influence people leaders and teams to help them confidently lead through change, ensuring that our approach to change is people-centric, values-based, and future-focused.This is a highly relational role, requiring deep capability in managing change, building leadership confidence, and maintaining a clear view of organisation-wide impacts. What we’re looking for We’re seeking a skilled change specialist with: Proven experience leading significant change management initiatives in large, complex organisations (ideally within the public sector)Strong understanding of organisational redesigns and culture change, with evidence of practical and empathetic approaches to embedding new ways of working A deep understanding of change management methodologies, with practical experience coaching leaders through change Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships across diverse groups (including senior leadership teams, Māori stakeholders, and external partners), to draw out and understand their perspectives, and be comfortable navigating areas of disagreement to find best case solutions.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and guide a wide range of audiences and stay comfortable and calm when emotions are high. Strategic agility with a strong people-centred focus in all change activities An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to integrating tikanga and te ao Māori perspectives into change practiceYou’ll bring energy, flexibility, and a collaborative style, along with an organised, proactive approach to supporting successful change integration across our institutions.
