The DMO collaborates across the ASB Data Community to establish guidelines, best practices, and initiatives like the Data Management Uplift Program.This role is more than governance; it involves being central to the effective use of data within the organization, combining business and technical knowledge with policy, standards, and governance to achieve optimal data outcomes. You will utilize world-class tools to understand data lineage and implement rules and processes to safeguard data. You will coordinate across the Data Community, share knowledge, and ensure proper data representation. As a data advocate, you will maintain high standards in data governance and risk management.Ideal candidates are self-starters with problem-solving skills, positivity, and excellent communication abilities to share knowledge, learn from others, and contribute to key outcomes. Regarding background, we prefer candidates with experience in data, understanding of data concepts related to use, storage, and movement. Experience in analytics, insights, business intelligence, or information management within banking or financial services is desirable.You should have strong influencing and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate benefits and possibilities effectively. Experience with data governance tools is advantageous but not essential.
