The DMO partners across the ASB Data Community to establish best practices for data consumption and management, and to drive initiatives like the Data Management Uplift Program.This role goes beyond governance; it involves being central to the effective use of data within the organization, combining business and technical knowledge with policy, standards, and governance to optimize data outcomes. You will utilize advanced tools to understand data lineage and implement rules and processes to safeguard data. Collaboration across the Data Community is key, as is advocating for data use and maintaining high standards in data governance and risk management.We seek a self-starter with problem-solving skills, positivity, and excellent communication abilities to share knowledge and contribute to key outcomes. Ideally, you have a background in data, with understanding of data use, storage, and movement. Experience in analytics, insights, business intelligence, or information management within banking or financial services is preferred.You should possess strong influencing and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate benefits and possibilities effectively. Experience with data governance tools would be advantageous but is not essential.
