The opportunity - Te tūranga This role involves defining and governing the enterprise data architecture, including shaping structures, flows, and standards for consistency, interoperability, and integrity across domains like content operations, finance, digital platforms, and audience engagement. You will design scalable, secure, and future-proof data ecosystems supporting analytics, operational intelligence, and digital enablement. This is an architecture-focused role emphasizing design, governance, and enterprise alignment, not hands-on engineering or coding. You will guide and influence solution design and implementation from an architectural perspective.Proven experience as a Data Architect, defining enterprise data architectures across multiple domains. Expertise in data modelling, metadata management, data governance, and data quality frameworks. Deep understanding of data flow design and lifecycle management across distributed systems. Experience designing modern data platforms using cloud-native services like Snowflake.Knowledge of ETL/ELT architectures and orchestration frameworks supporting scalable data pipelines. Familiarity with architectural patterns for relational and non-relational databases. Strong knowledge of Azure services related to data architecture, including Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks, and serverless components.Ability to apply security, privacy, and regulatory requirements in data architecture design. Skilled in developing architectural documentation, data roadmaps, and system views for stakeholder alignment. Understanding of enterprise architecture principles to ensure data architecture aligns with business and technology strategies.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
