Senior DevOps Engineer, Auckland

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in building the safe, secure, scalable backbone that powers this transformation.This isn’t a support role - it’s a builder’s role. A doer’s role. You'll contribute to the design, and implementation. You will have a key role in the platform that make it possible for healthcare teams to work smarter, move faster, and deliver better outcomes. What You’ll Do: * Design, build,and maintain production-grade AWS infrastructure using Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.* Help evolve our CI/CD pipelines , driving speed, repeatability, and stability across all environments. * Work side-by-side with engineers and product teams to embed DevOps thinking from ideation through deployment. * Implement high-trust, high-compliance practices aligned to HiTrust and security-first engineering while at the same time enabling the business to move at speed.* Use monitoring and APM tools to help tune performance , ensuring our systems are always a step ahead. * Lead from the front: mentor junior DevOps engineers and advocate for engineering excellence across the team. What you’ll bring : We move fast, our systems are complex, and our standards are high. You’ll be expected to make hard decisions, get your hands dirty, and lead with impact - not just intention. To be successful in this role, you’ll bring the following proven experience:Deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Infrastructure as a Code (Terraform) and Ansible. Skills in developing and maintaining automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines. Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash) and version control tools (e.g. Git). Competency with observability tooling such as OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch or similar.Proven track record of resolving complex customer deployment challenges.
