Job Description This is a senior full-time position for anexperienced and qualified Food Lead Auditor.The successful candidate must have prior experience auditing for a third-party Certification Agency across various food programs, e.g., FSSC 22000/ISO 22000, SQF, BRC, HACCP, MPI programs (NP1, NP2, NP3, and Food Control plans). As a Lead Auditor in the Food, Health&Nutrition business for SGS Business Assurance NZ, you will be responsible for planning and performing supply chain and third-party certification audits. Key Responsibilities: Maintain your qualifications and recognition as a Food Auditor in multiple food industry audit standards and programs, capable of conducting a range of food industry program audits across various sector codes.Undertake management system assessments in accordance with SGS accreditation policies, procedures, and management system requirements. Collate audit and assessment findings, prepare reports, and communicate findings to clients to ensure understanding of requirements and areas needing attention. Provide assessment decisions and clearly communicate corrective actions, including issuing, re-issuing, or withdrawing certificates, in line with SGS policies and procedures.Act as a brand ambassador for SGS, demonstrating ethics, integrity, and adherence to company rules, policies, and protocols. Qualifications: Experience as a Lead Auditor for a Certification Body, qualified across various food sector NACE codes and/or SGS Technical Area Qualification (TAQ) Codes.Recognition as a Lead Auditor in programs such as SQF, FSSC22000, BRC, WSEP, HACCP, MPI, with evidence available. Qualifications and experience in ISO standards (e.g., ISO 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 13485) are advantageous. Completion of an IRCA, Exemplar Global, or equivalent recognized Lead Auditor Course with a valid certificate.Willingness to travel frequently within New Zealand, and occasionally to Australia and the Pacific Islands.
