This role is vital to the success of our contract operations, ensuring that maintenance and delivery work is performed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality—consistently meeting or exceeding our client’s expectations.ABOUT THE ROLE As the Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for supervising roading maintenance activities across the contract. You’ll be hands-on in resource allocation, crew and plant coordination, and overseeing all transport operations. With 5 direct reports and 23 indirect reports, this is a leadership position that requires excellent people management, a strategic mindset, and a drive for continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities Collaborate with Project Engineers on weekly/monthly maintenance programmes Lead and mentor a team of supervisors, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and delivery targets Oversee subcontractor selection and monitor performance Participate in emergency response planning and coordinationFoster a customer-centric culture and build strong client relationships Champion operational excellence and identify process improvement opportunities Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards and promote our“Safe for Life” philosophy ABOUT YOU 10+ years’ experience in delivering transport services, ideally in infrastructure or civil maintenanceProven leadership experience with a focus on people development and team engagement Strong commercial acumen, with a background in budgeting and resource planning NZ Class 1, 2, 4, 5 driver licences and relevant TTM qualification A passion for safety and continuous improvement WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?At Ventia, we’re driven by a shared purpose: making infrastructure work for our communities.
