We specialise in delivering high-quality residential homes completed on time and designed to reflect our clients’ unique visions.About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Intermediate to Senior Interior Designer to join our Auckland-based team. This permanent, full-time, on-site role requires strong design sensibility, technical knowledge, and excellent coordination skills to bring interior concepts to life— from design development through to construction completion.Location: Job Responsibilities: Ensure all interior elements align fully with construction drawings and accurately reflect on-site conditions. Develop cohesive and practical interior design concepts from initial concept through execution. Prepare detailed electrical layouts, lighting plans, and comprehensive material/colour schemes for interior and exterior elements.Select and specify finishes and fixtures (cabinetry, tiling, flooring, paint colours, appliances, etc.), ensuring selections are cost-effective, high-quality, and suitable for long-term performance. Understand thoroughly which stage of construction requires specific design elements, and coordinate effectively with project managers to meet project timelines.Liaise with suppliers, manage orders, ensure accurate quantities, and timely delivery of materials. Produce high-quality 3D renders and visual presentations for clients, marketing, and internal communication using professional rendering tools. Communicate proactively and strengthen collaboration across design, construction site, and project management teams.Translate client visions into buildable, aesthetically pleasing, and innovative interior environments. Manage project documentation including maintaining accurate records of design specifications, plans, and communications. Qualifications and Skills Required: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field OR; Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in residential interior design.Professional certification, registration, or licence in Interior Design (essential). Strong understanding of residential construction processes, NZ building standards, codes, and integration of interior design into architectural documentation. Professional proficiency in design software including SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, Enscape, or equivalent.Proven ability to produce design documentation to industry standards. Excellent project management, organisational, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively across disciplines. Flexibility and willingness to work weekends if required to meet critical deadlines or on-site requirements.A professional portfolio demonstrating completed residential projects (with competition awards or recognition advantageous but not essential). Employment Terms: Employment type: Permanent, Full-time Minimum guaranteed hours: 30 hours per week Days of work: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work required to meet deadlines.Salary range: NZD 28-30/hour based on experience. Additional Information: Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand or be eligible to apply for a work visa.
