What You Will Do We are actively seeking a Senior Azure Data Engineer, an expert and a powerhouse on the keyboard.In this role, you will partner with clients, guiding them from initial concept to production, listening with empathy, and applying your problem-solving skills to deliver value throughout the engagement. 5+ years building and working with data services in Microsoft Azure Significant experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Fabric, or similar technologiesAt least 3 years of solid Azure experience in the NZ market Ability to lead discussions and oversee Data Model design across multiple departments and teams Strong data modeling skills, including Dimensional modeling, Star Schema, and Kimball methodologies Experience with data modeling tools such as ER Studio or ERwin (preferred)SQL expertise for querying, data transformation, and performance tuning A holistic approach to data architecture focusing on data quality, governance, and performance Strong software engineering practices, including CI/CD, environment segmentation, and deployments Familiarity with DataOps standards and testing frameworksExperience working in an agile environment Ability to translate business questions into technical requirements Independently gather requirements and employ best practices in information security for cloud data environments Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to non-technical stakeholdersJob Requirements Must reside within NZ Must be authorized to work in NZ without sponsorship Ability to pass a background check if required Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Information Technology and Consulting Industries IT Services and IT Consulting, Information Services#J-18808-Ljbffr
