About The Role We are looking for HVAC Mechanical Technicians will broad HVAC maintenance experience with the ability to prioritise and manage your work activities. Whilst not essential, the ability to work with and train apprentices and trade assistants will be highly regarded.Your Responsibilities Will Include Efficiently, effectively and safely carry out all planned maintenance, reactive or remedial service work, fault diagnostics, and installation works relating to HVAC/Mechanical (air conditioning and refrigeration) Expedite all works in a professional and tradesman-like manner to a level of quality that meets commercial/ industry standardsThis role entails working unsupervised, or as part of a team, to deliver high-quality HVAC/Mechanical trade service Willing to work flexible hours and have the ability to manage your own time in order to meet deadlines Ensuring a safe working environment for self, colleagues, customers, and the general publicThis position will require availability for after-hours work and emergency call support on a rotating basis Champion the continued development and delivery of the Company's guiding principles. To be successful a candidate will require the following qualifications and experience: HVAC trade qualifications with at least five years of NZ experience5 + years of experience in the trade, NZ residency and/or valid NZ permit to work A proven background in HVAC installation, fault finding and troubleshooting. maintenance, servicing, and remedial repairs Full NZ Drivers License Be well-presented and have a high degree of self-motivation A passion for maintaining a safe work environmentExcellent communication and customer service skills Knowledge of building and service regulations and statutory obligations The Horizon Energy Group takes pride in its commitment to the health and safety of all its stakeholders.
