We prioritize placing the right people in the right roles to make a meaningful impact.Job Description We are seeking a Junior Buyer– Apparel who is energized by fashion trends, retail dynamics, and the opportunity to develop compelling ranges for Kiwi wardrobes. Apparel is one of our most prominent and competitive categories. We need someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, staying ahead of trends from activewear to basics, seasonal stories, and trend edits. You will be at the core of the action, helping to build on-brand and commercially successful ranges.You will confidently navigate challenges, working with diverse personalities both internally and externally. You will be responsible for: Owning a category within our apparel portfolio, supported by a Senior Buyer, to meet sales, margin, and inventory targets. Developing and executing product strategies aligned with customer insights and business goals.Partnering with the Planner to create assortments and seasonal activations, ensuring optimal stock and delivery timings. Using market research, competitor analysis, and sales data to identify opportunities and inform buying decisions. Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, negotiating effectively for the best outcomes.Collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver results and maintain momentum. Communicating insights, performance updates, and recommendations to senior stakeholders. Qualifications We are looking for someone who takes ownership and initiative, remains adaptable, and works well collaboratively. You should have a strong operational understanding with a customer-first, commercial perspective, balancing attention to detail with the bigger picture.You should be resilient, confident, and capable of influencing positive outcomes, even in challenging negotiations or with strong personalities. You will bring: Experience as a Junior Buyer, Trainee Buyer, or a strong Buyer’s Assistant/Category Specialist background. A proactive mindset with the ability to connect business goals with your work.Strong analytical skills and confidence in data-driven decision-making. Resilience and adaptability in managing priorities and stakeholder relationships. Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills. A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for teamwork.
