Santa Maria College is a Catholic Girls’ Secondary School enriched with the tradition of the Sisters of the Good Samaritan catering for over 800 students from Year 7–12. Currently the load is spread across 10 days as it does have a Y11 Learning&Growth POL attached (for the remainder of the year), there may be flexibility to condense this into 7 or 8 days a cycle, otherwise we are open to this remaining a Full Time load. About you Experience teaching method listed Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong understanding of the developmental needs of adolescents and emerging young adults.Proficient in the use of ICT for communication and record keeping. Interpersonal skills appropriate to establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, staff and parents, particularly the ability to work as a member of a team. Organisation and administrative skills appropriate for planning and preparationVIT Certification Commitment to supporting the College’s relational management and restorative practices. Maintain a positive environment which is respectful of all present and fosters student learning and motivation. Able to participate in the College's professional development activities in and out of school hours.Open to participate in the College's extra-curricular and co-curricular programs as required. Experience with Mandatory Reporting and knowledge of Child Safety expectations and standards.
