Due to continued growth, in our Credit and Loan Management team there is an opportunity for an Loan Management Officer to join the team.About the role You will assist with the execution of Pallas Capital’s first and second mortgage loans, however most of your day will be spent working on post-settlement activities such as the management of loan conditions and loan covenants for our existing borrowers. You will also be part of the proactive management of our loans as they reach the end of their respective loan terms. In addition, you will prepare reports and communicate effectively with our internal lending team and also with external brokers and borrowers.This position is based full-time in Pallas Capital’s Auckland office. Key responsibilities: Manage the lifecycle of a portfolio of loans from settlement until repayment. Proactively engage with Borrowers and Brokers to ensure there are no/limited overdue reporting items. Oversee loan maturities in conjunction with Origination and Credit teamsto process both short- and long-term loan extensions as approved.Oversee the review of loan covenants and conditions in conjunction with credit team. Work with Senior Credit Manager and Asset Management regarding risk mitigation strategies. Contribute meaningfully to team meetings, provide scheduled reporting and ad hoc updates on individual loans. Ensure our loan management system is up-to-date with notes and reporting as appropriate.Work collaboratively with Loan Services to ensure fast and accurate instruction with regards to interest calculation and adjustments. Identification and escalation of any risk items identified. Compliance with Pallas Capital Credit, Lending and Risk policies and procedures. About you 2 to 5 years’ experience in credit analysis, portfolio management and/or loan administration.Experience in commercial real estate lending is preferred. Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, business or a property-related discipline. Strong persuasion skills mean you can collect required information from external borrowers and advisors with a smile and no fuss. Excellent attention to detail and an eagerness to learn.Demonstrated knowledge of commercial real estate. Ability to‘own’ your tasks and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
