About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated Aviation Medical Officer to assist our Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in providing top-notch aviation and occupational medical services on a Part Time basis. This role is crucial in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and applicants across various business areas.Key Responsibilities: Assist the CMO with aviation medical matters, including passenger medical clearances, infectious disease follow-ups, and on-board medical issues Conduct medical examinations and assessments for employees and applicants, ensuring accurate and up-to-date medical records Provide Medical Review Officer (MRO) services under the company's Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) ProgrammePerform general occupational medical assessments and fitness-for-work evaluations Contribute to or manage medical projects and research to achieve business objectives Assist with pre-employment medical assessments and workplace drug testing processes Conduct routine medical examinations of Group pilots under the supervision of the CMO and Aviation Medical OfficerCollaborate with the Occupational Safety and Health/Environmental (OSH/E) team to conduct workplace assessments and address health concerns. Qualifications: Broad postgraduate experience in aviation and occupational medicine Background in general practice, emergency medicine, or intensive care is valuableNZ Registered Medical Practitioner, trainee, or Fellow with the Faculty of Occupational Medicine NZCAA Medical Examiner Grade 1 certification.
