Learn to Swim Lead | Albany Stadium Pool Help us get "More Aucklanders more active, more often” Great development pathway and multiple opportunities within Auckland Council Permanent Full-time opportunity at Albany Stadium Pool As the Lead Learn to Swim, you’ll play a key role in ensuring an excellent customer experience in our Learn to Swim programme, maintaining high standards in programme development and delivery.Your responsibilities include pool deck supervision, assisting with team induction, training, development, teaching swimming lessons across various age groups, and supporting the Team Leader with rostering and lesson delivery. You should be comfortable teaching learners of all ages, from toddlers to school-age children, adapting methods to suit each developmental stage.You’ll also support the operational aspects of the programme and ensure excellent customer service and issue resolution. This is a permanent full-time role working Sunday to Thursday, with a start date targeted for 3rd June 2025. Working hours are: Sunday 7.30am - 4pm Monday 9.30am - 6pm Tuesday11am - 7.30pmThursday 9.30am - 6pm Attendance at training sessions at Westwave from June 30 to July 11 is required. You should be passionate about motivating both team members and customers to enjoy and gain confidence in swimming. Previous experience in team supervision or leadership is highly desirable. Required qualifications include a recognized swim teacher qualification (AUSTSWIM), a First Aid certificate, and experience teaching various ages and abilities.
