Job Title: Confidential Investigator The New York City Department of Investigation (DOI) is seeking a Confidential Investigator to monitor and investigate fraud, corruption, and mismanagement related to City projects, specifically focusing on the BT-2 project under the DEP jurisdiction. Responsibilities include:Investigating matters involving fraud, waste, and abuse related to the project. Performing regular audits and investigations to ensure compliance with laws, rules, and regulations. Monitoring the BT-2 project operations and collaborating with other units and City agencies as needed. Reporting to DOI's satellite locations in Marlboro and Westchester, NY.Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent plus four years of experience in investigation, law enforcement, security, or related fields, OR Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution, OR Equivalent education and/or experience. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of construction industry and OSHA regulations.Interest and experience in law enforcement and criminal justice. Experience in investigation, security, law enforcement, or construction. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
