Two generations benefit through the HIPPY Programme’s contribution to both early childhood education and parenting support resulting in: Improving skills, confidence, and educational outcomes of childrenIncreasing parents’ participation in their children’s education and wider communities Increasing participation in Early Childhood Education (ECE) We are looking for a part-time (negotiable up to 32 hrs per week) HIPPY Programme Coordinator in Kaikourato deliver a Ministry of Education funded contract.As the HIPPY Coordinator reporting to the Regional Manager, you will assist to deliver a quality programme in your community, and you will have primary responsibility for all aspects of local programme implementation.The role will require a daily physical presence within the Kaikoura community as programme delivery is predominantly face-to-face, supplemented with the set-up of a home-based office. Key Responsibilities: Deliver the HIPPY Programme in accordance with the Whānau In-Home Learning Agreement and the HIPPY Delivery ManualEngage and enrol families in the HIPPY Programme and facilitate transition to ECE or school Lead programme delivery Recruit, train and support tutors Skills and experience: A relevant tertiary qualification (eg. Teaching, Social Work or related field) Experience working with families with young childrenExperience with adult learners or coaching Strong connections and understanding of the community Sound leadership qualities Good verbal and written skills Familiarity with MS Office Suite A current full driver's licence and regular access to a vehicle A suitable space to work from home A satisfactory Children’s Act check.What We Offer: Competitive salary Supportive team environment Paid leave on your birthday (after first year’s service) Applications will be considered as they arrive, and screening interviews may be scheduled prior to applications closing.
