You will deliver direct clinical advice to clients, prescribers, and clinicians. Based within the adult mental health team at Wairau Hospital, this community role promotes best practice in all aspects of pharmaceutical treatment for adults with moderate to severe mental health conditions.Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?) You will be a motivated pharmacist with recent community and/or hospital pharmacy experience, passionate about enhancing the quality of care for mental health service users. A high level of communication and networking skills is essential, along with a drive to achieve win-win outcomes for service users and the multidisciplinary team.Current registration with the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand, along with a current Annual Practising Certificate, is required. A postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy is advantageous. This role suits a clinician with existing expertise in treating mental disorders or someone eager to gain such expertise. Experience in physical medicines is also relevant for providing optimal care for mental health clients.Suitable applicants are team players with an appetite for working in a fully multidisciplinary environment, willing to learn from others and share their expertise. Applicants should have excellent personal organization, good time management, and enjoy engaging directly with service users.
