Per Diem Licensed Practical Nurse-YCCS Program, Christchurch

Description The YCCS Program (Youth Community Crisis Stabilization) based in Walpole, MA, is seeking a Per Diem Licensed Practical Nurse. Under the direction of the YCCS Nurse Manager, the LPN will administer medication, provide nursing care, manage ongoing healthcare of the youth, and provide leadership on the shift. The LPN should be knowledgeable of the agency's mission, program philosophy, policies, and procedures, and implement this understanding in their care of the youth.How You'll Be Making a Difference Maintain understanding of youth needing short-term mental health stabilization. Assist in developing and implementing individualized health services plans. Assist with medication administration, vital signs, and filling prescriptions. Provide shift leadership, supporting routines that promote safety, recovery, and treatment.Make treatment decisions, monitor medication effects, and collaborate on health/wellness programming. Complete documentation, conduct health screenings, and ensure immunizations are current. Assist with medical appointments, assessments, crisis counseling, and discharge planning. Ensure regulatory compliance and communicate with healthcare providers.Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver quality care. Qualifications Two years pediatric/adolescent or psychiatric nursing experience preferred. Active LPN license in Massachusetts. CPR and First Aid certification. Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet applications.
