Mega Mitre10 Brougham St Loss Prevention Officer Position: Tuesday to Saturday, 42.5 hours per week Loss Prevention/Store Security Responsibilities: Monitor the shop floor and external areas for suspicious or potentially fraudulent activities throughout the day. Ensure the safety of all personnel at all times.Reduce shrinkage by promoting profit protection and loss prevention throughout all areas of the store. Create and maintain a secure work environment by detecting and deterring theft and fraud. Work alongside managers to review camera surveillance footage and prepare reports as needed. Communicate issues and concerns to the leadership team with urgency.Use appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication standards. Maintain awareness of shoplifters or suspicious behavior. Regularly update team members on suspect customers. Ensure transactions at the Drive Thru exit are processed accurately. Share and gather intelligence using the community loss prevention platform.Support management in implementing security procedures and processes. Collaborate with the store’s network to prevent loss and harm. Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing through training and coaching. Communicate effectively with team members, security providers, and law enforcement. Assist law enforcement with crime reporting when applicable.Perform any other duties deemed appropriate by management.
