Civil Engineer - Intermediate / Senior, Christchurch

Assemble Recruitment is partnered with a well-respected civil consultancy based in Christchurch, seeking an Intermediate– Senior Civil Engineer to join their team. This role primarily focuses on land development projects. The client has a strong project pipeline in both public and private developments.You will join a down-to-earth team that takes pride in delivering quality projects. There are growth and development opportunities, including ongoing training and support for chartership if not already achieved. Key Responsibilities Design: Collaborate with engineers and professionals such as planners, surveyors, architects, geotechnical engineers, and ecologists to develop concepts for planning and detailed infrastructure design, including stormwater, water supply, roading, wastewater, and earthworks, ensuring standards and approvals.Contract Administration: Prepare contracts, specifications, schedules, tender documents, and conduct tender appraisals and recommendations. Manage claims processing. Site Observation: Conduct weekly site meetings with clients, contractors, councils, and occasionally ECan. Record work progress, address site queries, observe testing, and compile QA site records.Post Construction: Manage QA for 224c certifications, oversee maintenance periods, and handle final claims and retentions. The Ideal Candidate At least 3 years of NZ civil engineering experience, especially in land development or infrastructure projects. Strong design skills using 12D and/or Civil 3D.A civil engineering degree. This role offers an excellent salary package, with relocation support within NZ for the right candidate.
