Project Manager / Senior Project Engineer, Christchurch

About The Role We are seeking a driven, delivery-oriented Project Management or Engineering professional for a new role based at our Head Office in Christchurch. You will have a high level of autonomy and be responsible for managing multiple projects such as asset replacement and upgrades across the organisation's manufacturing facilities and distribution network. You will oversee all aspects of project delivery and may lead specific aspects of major projects, managing contractors, consultants, and collaborating with our employees to ensure projects are completed safely, within budget, on time, and to quality standards.Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end delivery of complex industrial projects, primarily brownfield projects. Ensure project safety for people and the environment. Manage contracts with consultants and contractors. Apply best practices in procurement to set projects up for success.Contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery systems. Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, codes, and regulations. About You We seek a competent Project Management and Engineering professional capable of building strong stakeholder relationships and leading them toward success. You should be well-organized, safety-conscious, and innovative, challenging the status quo to bring new solutions to the business.Ideal Skills&Experience Degree in Engineering at the tertiary level. Over 6 years of experience managing complex brownfield industrial projects. Structured and process-oriented with the ability to implement a suitable delivery approach. Experience in project front-end activities including concept development, preliminary engineering, cost estimation, scheduling, and business case development.Proven success in delivering projects exceeding $2M from start to finish.
