The company is founder-led, profitable, and growing.We are hiring Embedded Linux Field Engineer to expand our reach in mission-critical industries including Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, and Telco, along with Consumer Electronics. We seek candidates who are accomplished Linux professionals, passionate about Linux, proficient in containerization, system debugging, and familiar with low-level OS components.Our Ubuntu server edition is prevalent in connected devices and industrial PCs. Ubuntu Core, our IoT edition, emphasizes security and resilience for high-end appliances. Our portfolio continues to evolve with new features like real-time Linux and certifications, focusing on reliability, security, developer productivity, and footprint.This role requires a blend of skills: deep Linux knowledge, coding and scripting proficiency, experience with Linux boot processes, BIOS, firmware, and embedded software development. Candidates should thrive in a dynamic environment, engaging with innovative entrepreneurs, and be team-oriented, committed to excellence and customer success.Daily Responsibilities Engage with customers during presales to gather requirements and explain our technology. Design solutions for prospective clients. Participate in delivery of select Embedded Linux projects. Communicate market needs internally and contribute to solution development. Act as a customer advocate and trusted advisor.Candidate Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Extensive experience with Linux, preferably Debian or Ubuntu. Solid embedded Linux experience (e.g., Yocto, Buildroot) or RTOS. Proficiency in at least one of Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust. Professional fluency in English and the local language.Excellent communication and presentation skills. Results-oriented with multitasking ability. Strong commitment to meet deadlines. Quick learner with humility. Willingness to travel up to 30% for client meetings and events. Ability to speak and write Chinese professionally.
