Maintenance Technician– The Hermitage Hotel, Christchurch

Our Maintenance team is a key factor in ensuring guests have a comfortable room to go back to after a day of exploring the unique outdoor environment or to simply relax in a peaceful and beautiful part of the world. We have over 250 guest rooms in the Hermitage complex along with more than 150 staff accommodation rooms. This is a varied and fast-paced role with a fun and enthusiastic team.Responsibilities: Perform general maintenance tasks across our Hotel rooms, Motels, Lodge, and staff accommodation including the Chalets. Carry out carpentry, painting, basic plumbing, and mechanical repairs. Operate and maintain all tools and machinery as outlined in department SOPs. Plan and prioritize jobs to meet time limits.Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene. Perform other general maintenance duties as directed. Engage in landscaping and gardening tasks.
