This role is pivotal in ensuring our cloud-based infrastructure’s reliability, performance, and security, supporting our customers and rapidly growing business. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive mindset, delivering excellence across a broad range of IT services.Location: Flexible working arrangements are available from our Christchurch Support Office in Middleton, Canterbury 8024 and our Sydney Support Office in Surry Hills, NSW 2010! Both locations are close to public transport and surrounded by a variety of restaurants and cafes. About You We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Systems Administrator / Engineer with a strategic mindset and a collaborative approach. Key competencies include:Communication skills– Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly. Problem-solving expertise – Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments. Cloud experience – 2-4 years of experience working within a highly technical cloud environment, with hands-on expertise in cloud-based solutions.Microsoft&Amazon technologies– Proficiency in Microsoft Azure&AWS services, including compute, networking, storage, monitoring, and microservices, as well as Microsoft 365 applications such as Office, Entra, SharePoint, and Intune. Atlassian proficiency– Experience working with the Atlassian suite, including JIRA, Confluence, and service delivery tools.Zendesk proficiency– Experience working with the ZendeskCRM suite. Cybersecurity knowledge – Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, solutions, and controls, including ISO 27001 compliance. Service frameworks – Familiarity with ITIL and SCRUM service frameworks, ensuring structured and efficient IT operations.Disaster recovery– Experience in maintaining and updating disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity. Device management – Hands-on experience managing end-user devices through Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions. Measures Of Success Customer experience – Positive feedback and satisfaction scores from all stakeholders.Operational efficiency– Consistently exceeding service level agreement (SLA) targets. Stakeholder alignment – Strong relationships and alignment with internal teams and stakeholders. Service quality – Consistent delivery of high-quality services and clear, effective communication. Accountability and ownership –Proactive communication of issues and ownership of systems, with authority to take appropriate action.Compliance and risk management– Adherence to industry standards, policies, and regulations, including ISO 27001.
