About the City Mission The Christchurch City Mission, Te Whare Mīhana Ki Ōtautahi, is a social services agency offering support for those who need it, regardless of their circumstances. About this role As a key member of the City Mission Thrive's Cafe and Catering, the Cafe and Catering Assistant/ Driver will make a vital contribution to the Mission, to our clients and to our community.The key focus of the role is to support the daily operations of the café and catering services by preparing food and beverages, serving customers, and ensuring timely delivery of orders. The role also involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the café and during deliveries. This is a casual position. The days and hours of work vary depending on the requirement of the cafe. Monday - Friday between 6am – 3pm.Ideal Appointee We are seeking a candidate with the following skills and experience: A warm, welcoming and empathetic manner, with good listening and communication skills and the genuine ability to get along with people from all walks of life. Full driver’s licence. Customer service experience or hospitality experience is desirable.Hospitality qualification is preferred but not required.
