With 109 manufacturing sites and 12,000+ employees, we are the Global #1 for prime labels.About the role We are looking for a motivated QHSE Officer to join our team here at MCC Christchurch. As a QHSE Officer, you will play a pivotal role in driving, strengthening, and supporting the implementation of the QHSE plans for our Christchurch plant. In this exciting and varied role, you will:Drive, strengthen&support the implementation of the QHSE plan whilst helping improve the QHSE performance of the site through positive influence&strong communication. Maintain and continuously improve internal QHSE systems and processes including current ISO certifications. Provide the necessary guidance to the site team on QHSE matters and contribute to the Group QHSE strategy&plan. Review&refine QHSE KPIs, preparing reports, procedures,&management plans. Work closely with the HR team to coordinate employee injury management, develop early intervention&assist with return-to-work programs in accordance with medical advice. Coordinate and facilitate relevant HSE and compliance to ISO standards training for employees as per their role requirements. Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audit requirements on processes and systems. Establish and maintain management systems documentation.Coordinate the risk and hazard management programme. Audit production processes and systems to ensure compliance with our strict Quality and HS standards. Liaise and support the Occupational Health Nurse when on site. Organise and facilitate the H&S committee. Engage in regular interaction with the Production team and work closely with site management. About you Tertiary qualifications in a relevant health, safety, environment, or quality systems management field preferred. Experience in a similar role. Comprehensive knowledge&understanding of WHS&Environmental legislation, codes of practice&standards. The ability to manage non-conformances through effective corrective action review and assessment. Experience in leading, influencing&effecting impactful QHSE changes in team culture in alignment with the strategic direction of the organisation. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous. Experience with Mango QMS preferred. Experience in implementing and maintaining ISO certifications (ISO22000, ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO9001).Experience in FSC Chain of Custody preferred. The benefits Competitive remuneration.
