Your Title: Senior Cybersecurity Engineer Job Location: Christchurch, NZ (or Dayton, OH) Our Department: Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies (CTCT) Are you looking for a cybersecurity role with a global tech leader where you can take a lead role in securing the technology used in earthmoving equipment?What You Will Do As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer within CTCT, you will take a lead role in the secure design and implementation of machine control systems. You will work with multi-discipline teams to identify product cybersecurity vulnerabilities, determine potential risks, and recommend appropriate actions. You will lead secure product development processes, making ongoing adjustments in response to emerging security threats. In this role, you will also work to improve the organisation’s cybersecurity preparedness by providing training and promoting a security-minded culture.Travel may be required for up to 20% of your time, including international trips. This Will Involve You Doing The Following Work closely with product management, software architects, engineering, and security specialists to: Identify threats and vulnerabilities in our current and planned productsAssess risks and impacts Recommend and implement appropriate controls Align with Trimble/Caterpillar cybersecurity guidelines Leverage best practices, such as for a Secure Development Lifecycle, from industry and Trimble/Caterpillar Clearly articulate cyber risks and solutions to diverse audiencesEnsure that anyone who might alter the attack surface is aware of their responsibilities, and has the necessary understanding to act appropriately Regularly assess and report on cybersecurity capabilities and status for both the product and the engineering process Embed cybersecurity into everyday development processesLead action in response to CVEs and other identified vulnerabilities Research and understand emerging information security threats and vulnerabilities Research, design, and advocate for new technologies, architectures, and security products that will support the security requirements for our products.What you'll bring? Skills Along with being a team player, with strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative communication and working style, you will also need to have the following: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field Proven senior-level experience with Information SecurityBroad knowledge of Cybersecurity across multiple domains, including software development, web applications, firmware, QA/test engineering, and operations Experience with ISO 27001, SAE J3061/ISO 21434, or similar (desirable).
