About The Team Transpower's Grid Development division identifies Electricity Transmission Grid needs for the next 30 years. The Asset Planning group manages assets within specific portfolios, undertaking planning and support to balance cost, risk, and service.As work volumes increase, integrating investment decision-making across portfolios becomes crucial for optimal whole-of-life asset costs. The opportunity Based in Wellington, lead a team of three planners to deliver whole-of-life outcomes across asset portfolios—buildings, grounds, infrastructure, services, and access ways—at substations, warehouses, depots, and National Operating Centres.Ensure portfolio cost and risk management, and cross-portfolio efficiencies. Your multifaceted role includes: Leading development and integration across portfolios and investment plans, including CAPEX and OPEX. Applying commercial, economic, and decision frameworks to asset management plans. Driving continuous improvement and reducing service risk.Implementing new technology with a long-term asset management perspective. You will also contribute to projects like asbestos management, resilience improvements, water infrastructure, seismic strengthening, sustainability, and accessibility. As part of the Asset Planning Group Leadership team, support leadership, development, and continuous improvement initiatives.What will you bring?
