Administrator - People&Communications at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waitaha Canterbury, Christchurch 0.5 FTE (20 hours a week), Permanent role Monday to Wednesday, between 8am - 5pm Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is dedicated to serving all New Zealanders.About the Role The People and Capability (P&C) Administrator role is a fundamental part of our HR Shared Services (HRSS) team. They support the largest workforce in the South Island, ensuring we pay our kaimahi (staff) accurately and on time. They are hardworking and dedicated to delivering their mahi (work) to high standards, putting the customer at the centre of what they do.The P&C Administration team strives to deliver excellent and timely customer service to our organisation, rangatira (leaders), kaimahi (staff), and external customers. Key responsibilities include: Processing HR and PR contractual changes via our Case Management System - MAX Understanding Collective Agreement clauses and applying them to processingEnsuring updates are completed in time for weekly payroll runs Supporting managers and employees through these processes Maintaining confidentiality of employee information Ensuring legislative compliance across HR and PR activities Resolving or escalating complex cases or conflicts The team supports our leaders and staff throughout the employee lifecycle by delivering high-quality customer service and processing HR and Payroll contractual changes, mainly via our Case Management System - MAX. Your role will involve processing these cases to ensure our people's HR journey is smooth and pay changes are timely. The role requires working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and distractions.This position is ideal for someone looking to develop an understanding of Human Resources and Payroll within a large, complex, and dynamic organization. Your skills should include: Experience in customer service within a fast-paced environment managing conflicting demands HR and Payroll knowledge (preferred but not essential)Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong computer skills, ability to learn new systems quickly, proficient typing, and data entry skills Flexibility, adaptability to change, and ability to follow processes accurately Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlinesWorking at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is committed to providing excellent healthcare for New Zealanders.
