The role involves assisting with the day-to-day operation of our on-site café. At Summerset, we're passionate about providing quality service to our clients and are experiencing rapid growth.We value your customer service ethic as much as the technical skills you bring. Our Café Assistant is often the face of our business, so you need to relate well to a wide range of people, especially the elderly and their families. This is a casual position on an as-needed basis, but we require someone available to cover shifts during 10am-6pm on weekdays.Your responsibilities will include: Greeting customers, processing orders, making coffee, and serving food Following the Food Control Plan requirements to ensure all elements are completed as documented Cleaning kitchen surfaces, washing dishes, and removing rubbish Working with the chef to unload and store stockSupporting the chef with food preparation Qualifications: Our ideal candidate will: Be outgoing, friendly, and have a can-do attitude Enjoy providing excellent customer service for a great café experience Be able to provide high-quality and timely support to the Chef Have experience with making coffee, food preparation, and presentation (preferable)Enjoy working both independently and as part of a team Additional Information: What's in it for you?
