This role is responsible for providing consultancy services in ANZ, with a local focus on wind, while also supporting solar and BESS projects. The role requires active participation in project teams in the pursuit and delivery of advisory and engineering services torenewable energy clients across ANZ in the project development and execution phases. The role involves leadership of local teams and connectivity with specialists across the Asia-Pacific region to deliver ‘whole of Jacobs’ services to our clients.We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery. We empower employees with our hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations enabling them to deliver their best work.Here's what you'll need Experience And Skills Are Expected To Include Current and active participation in renewable energy sector across ANZ. Early-stage wind project development. Experience working in consulting or for renewable energy developers. Strong technical knowledge of wind turbine technology, wind farm layout design and optimisation, wind resource assessment and energy yield analysis.Firm understanding of balance of plant requirements on wind farm projects. windPRO, WAsP and/or other wind engineering software. Time on site on renewable energy projects. Strong articulation and communication skills. High quality technical report writing. Analytical skills Time management and experience working on multiple projects or pursuits simultaneously.Work within multi-disciplinary teams. The following experience and skills are preferred, but not essential: A personal network within the renewable energy sector across ANZ. Delivery of technical due diligence services, including reviewing technical documentation, authoring relevant report sections, co-ordinating inputs from other disciplines, and liaising with stakeholders throughout the process.Delivery of technical advisory services including owner’s engineering (OE), lender’s technical advisor (LTA) and independent engineer (IE) through project development and construction. Familiarity with contracting approaches for construction of wind and other projects, including full EPC wrap and split contracting.Wind monitoring campaign planning and execution, including met masts and remote sensing devices (LiDAR and SoDAR). Participation in stakeholder engagement, including presentation of technical matters to those out of discipline. Early-stage solar and/or BESS project development. Technical knowledge of solar and/or BESS technology, including balance of system.PVsyst and/or other solar engineering software. Previous/current work in consulting and/or working with third parties (e.g. customers/clients), including project/pursuit management and leading multi-disciplinary teams. Understanding of commercial aspects of renewable energy development, including project economics and project financing.Other Experience And Qualifications Are Expected To Include Bachelor's or master's degree in renewable energy, engineering or related field. Key Responsibilities Develop Jacobs’ capabilities and reputation in Australia&New Zealand, with support to Asia Representing Jacobs at key thought leadership events Deliver technically excellent engineering consultancy services Facilitate independent design/review/assurance on Projects Manage projects delivering on cost, on time, and resulting in client satisfaction Maintain compliance with Jacobs QA procedures, including the deliverables review QA processMentor and facilitate the technical development of more junior resources to meet market requirements. Engage with high performers in a team environment to facilitate knowledge sharing and coaching Support business development, with a focus on renewable generation and support the win of the opportunities.Works with the Team Leader, Section Leader and Geographic Leader to achieve mutual work/business goals Establishes and maintains relationships within the industry (e.g., prospects, past clients, regulators, suppliers) Deliver projects to a successful outcome for clients and Jacobs Enhance our reputation with clients through strong service deliveryBuilds trusted relationships with clients Builds business development skills Promotes a client focused culture when working within the team Bid preparation and submittals as required, support section leader, project managers in the delivery of financially successful projects Provide broad consulting support specific to renewable energy projects, including project development and deliveryPromotes safety culture within the organisation and with our clients.
