The positionis a permanent 0.6 FTE with an additional 0.3 FTE fixed term from The HamidIkram Fellowship for the first two years, and with the possibility ofadditional FTE after that.About the Role As a Noninvasive Cardiologist, you will: Contribute to the general Cardiology inpatientand outpatient services, including acute general Cardiology call. Depending on your area of expertise contributeto developing our services in one or more of the following areas:echocardiography, CTCA, cardiac MRI, heart failure, adult congenital heartdisease, cardiac genetics, or other areas of service.Be on the after-hours echo roster ifappropriately trained. Contribute to multidisciplinary patient care,working closely with cardiothoracic surgery, radiology, and intensive careteams. Provide clinical leadership and training tojunior doctors and allied health professionals. Engage in ongoing research and qualityimprovement initiatives.Participate in an on-call roster as part of adedicated team. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College ofPhysicians (FRACP) or equivalent specialist qualification. Registration (or eligibility for registration)with the Medical Council of New Zealand as a specialist in cardiology.A strong commitment to patient-centred care,clinical excellence, and teamwork.
