Software Engineer C++ Christchurch, New Zealand 6 Month contract Onsite Position Operational Job Description: Perform routine assignments appropriate to your professional development. Develop in C++ server on Linux, Angular/Typescript, or native mobile app solutions in Android, using Java and/or Kotlin, and a shared C++ code module, GoLang .Collaborate with application domain experts and other software developers across multiple international sites to deliver customer value. Possess conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within a job family. Follow standard practices and procedures to analyze problems and find solutions.Use best practices and knowledge of business issues to improve products or services. Work independently or as part of a team as required. Support colleagues with less experience. Contribute positively to your delivery team. Apply general business knowledge gained through education or experience.Use existing procedures to solve standard problems, analyze information, and make judgments on diverse issues, demonstrating good judgment and creative problem-solving skills. Perform any other duties as directed by Management. Qualifications / Experience / Skills / Competencies: Relevant tertiary qualification in computer science, engineering, mathematics, mechatronics, or equivalent experience.Professional experience in C++ software development, native Android applications, or Web Applications. Experience with a full engineering process including specification, development, automated testing, continuous delivery, and documentation. Drive and passion for innovation, curiosity, and willingness to learn.Strong analytical and decision-making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Motivation to work proactively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment across multiple time zones.
