As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-time or Part-time Retail Sales Assistant to join our team in relation to our new flagship store in The Crossing, Christchurch (opening in May 2025). What We Are Looking For We are seeking an experienced Retail Sales Assistant with established customer-focused skills, ideally with prior experience working in retail. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Proven ability to enhance sales and service in a retail environment A genuine passion for the Jamie Kay brands and the values we represent The ability to create a memorable shopping experience for every customer, ensuring they feel valued and engagedKey Responsibilities: Drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service, contributing to a positive store environment Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for customers to encourage brand loyalty and repeat business Collaborate with the team to achieve store targets and KPIs, including sales goals and customer satisfaction metricsHelp maintain a well-stocked and visually appealing store environment Maintain up-to-date knowledge of store products, trends, and Jamie Kay's brand story to provide customers with insightful recommendations Required Skills&Qualifications: Minimum 2 years in retail sales preferred Proven track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs Strong proficiency in operating Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems and computers Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive attitudeFlexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, evenings, and peak holiday periods such as Black Friday, Christmas, and Easter Physical Requirements: The role requires frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 kg and occasionally up to 20 kg.
