Our branch in Sydenham is seeking a motivated and dependable Counter Salesperson to assist our valued customers, primarily electricians, in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. In this essential role, reporting to the Branch Manager, you will play a key part in delivering exceptional customer service by recommending the right products, providing tailored quotes, and ensuring customer satisfaction.While prior experience in counter sales or customer service is beneficial, we prioritize finding someone with the right mindset. We’re looking for a proactive individual who is ready to engage in all aspects of counter sales at our branch. Familiarity with electrical or trade knowledge is a plus, but a positive, “can-do” attitude is what truly matters. Our team thrives on collaboration, and we all pitch in to get the jobdone.To succeed in this role, you should possess strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to perform well under pressure, a keen eye for detail, and experience handling numerical data. Ideally, you will have a clean restricted or full driver’s license and a passion for continuous learning and improvement. If you demonstrate initiative, maturity, and a positive outlook, and can work effectively both in a team and independently, we would love to hear from you!In this role, some of your key responsibilities will include: Serving customers over the counter, phone, and email regarding sales orders and enquiries Sourcing products to suit customer needs, handling returns and credits Picking goods and collecting cash/payment from counter customers Supporting the maintenance of branch standards (stock, cleanliness, shelves, etc)General administration of all stock data and records, and merchandising duties Ensuring Health&Safety protocols are adhered to at all times. The hours of work for this role are Monday to Friday, 7.30am– 5.00pm, with approximately one rostered Saturday each month, from 8.00am – 11.00am.
