The University of Otago is renowned for its excellence in teaching, excellence in research and outstanding support staff, all of whom contribute to making it a great place to work.The role/Te mahi This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and leadership of an expanding programme in Nursing Studies, including specialty postgraduate courses, Master’s degrees (with pathway to Nurse Practitioner) and PhD research. Professional Practice Fellow – Academic Liaison Nurses support teaching across a range of papers or in clinical settings, to post-graduate level, in the professional area of specialisation. This includes preparation, assessment, teaching and paper administration duties under the supervision of the academic colleague who is responsible for course design and delivery.Your skills and experience/Kā Pūkeka Me Kā Wheako Successful candidates will demonstrate appropriate professional experience and will be committed to advancing nursing education. Applications are sought from registered nurses who hold a Master’s degree with recent clinical experience.Candidates should be registered with a current Annual Practicing Certificate or be eligible for registration in New Zealand with extensive clinical experience. Further details/Pūroko Joint clinical positions will be considered where applicants maintain a research, consultative and/or clinical specialty.We have multiple permanent, part time (0.4FTE) opportunities available, located in Christchurch. The salary range for a Professional Practice Fellow is $73,166 to $99,420 per annum, pro rata; and $102,092 to $132,796 per annum, pro rata for Senior Professional Practice Fellows. Appointment will be made on the appropriate scale and level based on qualifications and experience.You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to apply for this role.
