Optimal Clinical Trials is expanding and we’re looking for an experienced Clinical Trials Assistant to join our brand-new, purpose-built research facility in the heart of Christchurch. This is your opportunity to work at the forefront of innovative healthcare, contributing to clinical trials that shape the future of medicine.Location: Christchurch Central, Canterbury Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm About the role: As a Clinical Trials Assistant, you’ll work closely with our Study Coordinators to support the delivery of clinical trials, while building your own research skillset along the way. This role involves accurate data entry, assisting with participant recruitment and visits, and ensuring everything runs smoothly from study setup to close-out.Key Responsibilities: Assist Study Coordinators in managing clinical research trials Perform accurate and complete data entry and reporting in line with study protocols Ensure compliance with ICH GCP guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures Communicate effectively with study participants, sponsors, and team membersContribute to the preparation of study documentation and reports Key Requirements: Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences, Healthcare) Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) guidelines Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) An understanding of the significance and obligations under Te Tiriti o WaitangiExperience or training in clinical research is advantageous This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to contribute across a range of study activities.
