Providing such a critical service is no easy task, and we know that to be the best, our people need to be connected, safe, and involved.About the role We are seeking an experienced High Voltage (HV) Equipment&Appliance Testing Technician to join our Equipment Testing Team. At Connetics, we value opportunities for our people to grow and develop, fostering a dynamic work environment where our teams feel appreciated.The position of High Voltage (HV) Equipment&Appliance Testing Technician works collaboratively with the Equipment Testing Coordinator and team to ensure quality service for internal and external customers. This role is responsible for carrying out regular testing, calibration, and repair of HV equipment, electrical appliances, and bond leads for both internal and external clients. Additionally, the role involves testing HV electrical protective and measuring equipment, vehicle electrical testing (Earth bonding and insulated EWPs), and assisting the Calibration and HV Equipment Testing laboratories.Skills / Experience Required qualifications and experience include: Registered electrician with current practising licence, or Registered electrical appliance serviceperson with current practising licence, or Minimum 3 years' experience working with high voltage equipment, or Diploma or NZCE Electrical (or equivalent)Additional skills and knowledge: Experience in electrical equipment testing: HV PPE, testing equipment, live line protective equipment, vehicle electrical testing, and instrument calibration Comprehensive knowledge of PAT testing and tagging requirements Working knowledge of AS/NZ3760 and AS/NZ3012 standardsExperience using SAP Working knowledge of the electrical supply industry Current and valid drivers' licence Computer and technology literacy Effective verbal and written communication skills You will join a friendly, tight-knit team that values safety and mutual support.
