Submissions Manager, Christchurch

Job Description The opportunity An opportunity has become available for a Submissions Manager within Downer’s Energy&Utilities business unit, reporting to the Head of Submissions. This role can be based in Brisbane QLD, Melbourne VIC, Sydney NSW, Perth WA, Auckland NZ, Christchurch NZ, or Wellington NZ. The Submissions Manager will work across sectors including industrial power and gas, water, power transmission, energy networks, and telecommunications. The primary responsibility is developing winning tenders and proposals. You will collaborate closely with bid managers in the pre-contracts teams and subject matter experts (SMEs) in operational businesses to craft non-priced schedules for expressions of interest, tenders, and other bid responses in Australia and New Zealand.This role necessitates a high level of content writing and editing skills, with a strategic mindset to develop compelling solutions. Key responsibilities include: Leading the creation of compliant, compelling, and client-focused bid submissions, presentations, and related content aligned with bid strategies.Interviewing SMEs and developing attributes for submissions, guiding on approach to ensure high-quality content tailored to the bid's complexity and procurement method. Contributing to win strategies and ensuring they are well-articulated and supported by evidence in submissions. Preparing bid writing plans, coordinating with contributors for timely input, and managing review processes.Compiling all necessary documentation, including schedules, price, and commercial responses, to ensure complete and compliant submissions. Collaborating with graphic designers to enhance visual content and submission presentation.
