Smiths is looking for a Customer Relationship Manager to drive profitable growth and position us as the go-to partner in the South Island’s Electrical, Plumbing, and Solar wholesale markets.About the Role As our South Island CRM, your mission is to deliver exceptional value to our customers while unlocking profitable growth for Smiths. You'll develop strategic partnerships, identify opportunities, and help customers overcome challenges through innovative, tailored solutions. This is a high-impact role focused on long-term value creation and customer success, not just transactional sales.Key Responsibilities Meet or exceed sales and profitability targets through account management and solution selling. Build deep, trusted relationships across key customer accounts. Tailor solutions that drive measurable business outcomes for customers. Monitor market trends and use insights to shape offerings and strategy.Champion a customer-first culture and collaborate across sales, service, and warehouse teams. Promote Smiths’ innovative capabilities through training, workshops, and face-to-face engagement. We’re Looking for Someone Who Is: An exceptional relationship builder (internal and external) with a commercial mindset.Experienced in B2B solution selling, ideally in wholesale or technical electrical or/and solar sectors. Skilled in strategic thinking, negotiation, and influencing. Analytical, with a track record of identifying market opportunities. Tech-savvy and familiar with CRM tools and reporting. Self-motivated, with a passion for delivering both customer and business success.Based in South Island and willing to travel weekly across the region to engage directly with customers.
