The Christchurch City Council is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Asset Planning&Data Management Manager within the Facilities and Asset Planning Team. About the role | Ko te mahi nei As the Asset Planning&Data Management Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective delivery of Asset Planning and Data Management objectives within the Facilities and Asset Planning Team. This leadership position involves coordinating resources, fostering collaboration within the Resources Group and across Council teams, and ensuring the sustainable management of assets in alignment with the city's strategic goals.Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership to a team of asset planning&data management professionals, ensuring the successful delivery of projects impacting diverse stakeholder groups. Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships within the Resources Group and across other Council teams. Ensure resources support are available to develop and deliver facility and asset management plans.Provide professional services, support, and advice to Council Managers Ensure the sustainable management of assets in accordance with the City's strategic documents and statutory requirements. Ensure modelling data and systems are accurately protected and data backed up. Provide input into the production of the Annual Plan and Budget.Lead the team in developing and maintaining Activity Management Plans and service delivery plans for the Asset Management Facilities. Undertake network modelling to ensure planning for infrastructure delivery is keeping pace with city growth as required. Tertiary qualification at Degree level in a relevant area or related discipline, or extensive practical experience in a similar role.Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in Asset Planning and Data Management, including 5 years of people management experience. Extensive experience in local government Asset Planning and Data Management is highly desirable Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams. Proven experience in building key partnerships and relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.A strategic focus, considering historical factors and potential future developments affecting team activities.
