The Processing Team Leader's role is to elevate the daily performance of a team of Processing Officers to ensure NZ Post products and parcels are sorted according to processing criteria and performance targets. With increasing parcel volumes and being a key part of our dynamic national network, this area is kept on its toes.This role is central to people leadership and engaging with truck drivers and contractors. You'll demonstrate a hands-on approach, a commitment to safety, and foster a high-performing, positive team culture. You will also oversee rostering, payroll, and other administrative tasks that keep the team running smoothly.You will be responsible for our East Depot in Mowbray Street from Monday to Thursday and our My Food Bag site in Hornby on Sundays. The shift hours are 8am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 10.30am - 7pm Sunday. Our 'Safety Always' approach to health, safety, and wellbeing underpins all we do and is core to our business. We seek someone with demonstrable experience in injury prevention, early intervention, and continuous improvement.Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and the wider leadership team Excellent communication skills to promote team culture and performance A passion for upholding NZ Post values Ability to assign tasks clearly and set objectives Current OSH FL Certificate or F Endorsement, or willingness to obtain oneReady to be a part of that story?
