Along with above average wages, we offer opportunities for growth and development within our business.As a Senior Loss Prevention Specialist, you will supervise a small team, engage with customers, liaise regularly with employees to identify steps and systems to reduce all loss, monitor CCTV, report offending to Police via the Auror crime prevention platform, ensure the safety of the public and staff, conduct checks of our client's stores, and stay updated on legislation and loss prevention methods.Loss Prevention at NZAP is about preventing theft proactively. We seek smart , motivated , and passionate individuals to join us! The position is permanent, full-time, minimum 30 hours/week on a rotating roster. Security coverage is needed across all 7 days and trading hours (9am - 10.30pm). Rostered shifts vary but will be set at least 3 weeks in advance.We are hiring for stores from Rangiora to Rolleston and beyond. The Role; This role focuses on operations, people management, and health&safety. Reporting directly to the director, you will ensure your team operates efficiently while maintaining high standards. On duty, you will conduct floor walks, monitor CCTV, liaise with staff, handle shoplifter apprehensions, and maintain a safe environment. You may help coordinate employee training in conflict resolution and emergency procedures.All documentation and reports for internal and external agencies must be completed accurately. About You; We seek driven individuals with discretion, a positive attitude, and rapport-building skills with staff and customers. Minimum 2 years Security/Loss Prevention experience, preferably in retail.Current Certificate of Approval, or ability to obtain one. Current First Aid certificate, or ability to obtain one. Physically fit to meet role demands. Experience with diverse cultures and backgrounds, maintaining professionalism and calmness in challenging situations, and flexibility for shifts including weekends are essential.Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test is required.
