Due to further expansion of our network and product range, we require the addition of a talented and enthusiastic Account Manager to service our Nelson/Marlborough-based client network.We offer our clients a full suite of world-leading brands, including tyres from Pirelli, Toyo, Nitto, and Nankang, and a full range of alloy wheels from Advanti Racing, Konig, OZ Racing, and Enkei. The Role We are seeking an exceptional Account Manager to join the Automotive team, offering the right person a real opportunity to excel in a progressive and successful business with reputable brand recognition. You will be results-driven, driving sales growth in your territories. Regular travel throughout Nelson, Marlborough, and the West Coast is required for this role.Using your strong communication and relationship-building skills, you will: Pursue customer satisfaction by developing relationships with existing customers. Develop new business to increase YHI’s market presence and share. Increase sales conversions by implementing and completing regular call cycles and identifying growth opportunities.Use your product and industry experience to understand and anticipate your customers’ needs. About You You are a dynamic and energetic Account Manager with a passion for servicing and growing your territory. Your demonstrated sales record is supported by a strong work ethic, energy, and the ability to work autonomously. A background in the automotive industry is preferred but not essential.You will be successful because you have the following skills and experience: A proven track record in sales and relationship management in a B2B environment. The ability to deal with pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with a diverse customer base. An eye for emerging markets . You understand the value of price and margin in building new business.Highly self-motivated . You work well autonomously and are comfortable implementing and managing call cycles. Strong commercial adaptability . You are a fast learner, thrive on challenges, and are solutions-focused. Automotive industry experience or knowledge is an advantage. This position reports directly to the South Island Manager and is based in our Christchurch office.In return, we offer a generous remuneration package, to be negotiated based on experience.
