CNC Operator | Christchurch | $29 - 35 p.h Our client, a well-established engineering firm, is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join their team. This is a hands-on role focused on machining structural steel components using CNC equipment in a busy workshop environment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work independently.Key Responsibilities: Operate CNC machinery to cut and drill steel components according to technical drawings. Load, unload, and inspect raw materials and finished parts. Set up tooling and monitor for wear during operation. Perform basic machine maintenance and ensure cleanliness of the work area.Maintain accurate records and adhere to job codes and timesheets. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental procedures. About You: Minimum 2 years’ CNC machine operation experience (structural steel preferred). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.Physically fit, safety-focused, and reliable.
