The Opportunity This position comes at an exciting time for our Christchurch Branch as CablePrice, a long-standing Hitachi construction equipment supplier, has been appointed as the New Zealand importer and distributor for Tigercat forestry and off-road industrial machinery. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Equipment Technician/Diesel Mechanic to join our dedicated team. This role suits a mechanical trades professional who can deliver quality, efficient, and accurate service and maintenance outcomes, and who is willing to go above and beyond in this critical support role.To be successful in this role, you will need: Strong Health and Safety commitment, as it is our top priority at CablePrice. We prioritize the safety of ourselves and our team members. Heavy Diesel and/or relevant Automotive Qualification. Prior experience with Tigercat equipment is advantageous.Mechanical capability and technical skills, including diagnosing faults and servicing heavy commercial vehicles. Excellent diagnostic ability and analytical thinking to resolve complex issues. Confidence in computer literacy and a customer-focused mindset.
