To support this growth, we’re seeking a talented Project Manager to join our Christchurch head office. You’ll play a key role from the early stages, helping shape and deliver the next generation of renewable energy projects across the country.This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in tender preparation, contract negotiations, and technical finalisation, ensuring seamless project execution when construction begins. You’ll work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams, and act as a key contact for clients, regulatory bodies, and internal leadership — driving alignment with INTEC’s strategic goals while ensuring client satisfaction, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.Your Responsibilities: Lead early-stage project activities, including tender submissions, contract negotiations, and detailed technical planning, ensuring all pre-construction elements are robustly managed. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with the Engineering Design team to develop comprehensive and realistic project plans.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to set the foundation for seamless project execution and long-term partnerships. Oversee procurement processes for equipment, materials, and subcontractors, and monitor vendor and subcontractor performance to ensure quality and timely deliverables.Manage project budgets, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure strict compliance with all contractual, financial, and regulatory obligations. Provide leadership, mentorship, and clear communication to project teams throughout the project lifecycle, acting as the primary liaison for clients and key stakeholders.About You: Qualified and Experienced : You hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical or civil engineering (or a related field), with 5+ years managing large-scale renewable energy projects — solar and/or BESS experience is highly regarded. Technically Strong : You have a deep technical understanding of solar PV systems, battery storage (BESS), grid integration, and project financials, with a strong grasp of contract management and procurement processes.Leadership and Collaboration : You are a proven leader who can effectively manage multiple stakeholders, foster strong relationships, and resolve conflicts while driving projects forward. Project Management Expertise : You are skilled in project management tools such as MS Project and Procore, and you excel at planning, budgeting, risk management, and ensuring compliance.Proactive Communicator : You are self-motivated, highly organised, and possess outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills— able to manage complex projects independently and with precision.
