This busy service manages acute infections and facial fractures, while elective referrals cover a wide spectrum of mouth and jaw conditions, providing extensive experience. Oral and Maxillofacial surgery is an internationally recognized surgical and dental specialty.About the Team When you work with Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Canterbury District, you are part of something very special. About You The position suits a junior doctor (PGY3 and above) interested in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dental experience is desirable but not essential.Knowledge and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its principles, and how these can be applied to health. A willingness to grow and further develop an equity lens and skillset to assist Māori and minority groups. You must be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
