Job Opportunity: Contract Supervisor - Water and Wastewater Maintenance The Christchurch City Council is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Contract Supervisor to join the Three Waters team, responsible for managing the city's water assets, including compliance, incident response, and contract management. This role focuses on local pressure sewer systems and vacuum sewer, involving job approvals, contractor management, and customer inquiries.Key Responsibilities Oversee maintenance contracts for water and wastewater networks. Manage contractor relationships and job approvals. Respond to customer inquiries related to sewer systems. Coordinate with operational teams and stakeholders. Candidate Requirements Relevant technical qualification (e.g., mechanical trade certificate, Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering).Minimum 5 years' experience in wastewater or water supply industry. At least 3 years' contract management experience. Strong organizational, logical thinking, and communication skills. Ability to manage a demanding workload safely and cost-effectively.
